Spiced Tea

My friend, Cindy from How Now Green Cow shared a recipe today for Spiced Tea.  My hubby grew up drinking this same tea and passed it along to me when we were dating.  It is a great and simple recipe and since it is a little sweet your kiddos will enjoy it too.

Spiced Tea

Ingredients:

2 cups Tang
¾ cup sugar
½ instant tea
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
¼ tsp ginger
¼ tsp nutmeg


Directions:

Mix ingredients and store in a mason jar in your cupboard. Mix 1-2 Tablespoons of dry powder per cup of hot water.


Dress up your jar with a fabric square and a ribbon and this would also make a cute hostess gift to take to a friend!

Lego Clearance at Walmart

Tami emailed and shared that Walmart has some Buzz Lightyear and Zurg lego sets on clearance for $12 at the N 27th Walmart.  They are located on the end cap near the party supplies (next to the toy dept).  The sets are regulary priced between $20 and $30 on Amazon.com and Toys R Us.

For those of you who didn't spend all their budget at Christmas, these would make great birthday gifts.  Getting toys and items on clearance for gifts later in the year is a great way to stretch your budget!

$5 Money Maker at Wags

Jen emailed and said that in the Wags January Coupon Book there is a $5/1 coupon for the Children's Osccillococcinum Homepathic Flu Medicine.  It is FREE after RR this week so stack it with the $5 off coupon to make it a $5 money maker.

There is also a $2/1 printable coupon that you may or may not be able to use along with the coupon found in the Wags book.  They are technically both manufacturer's coupons so it is up to the store manager if you can use both.  I would suggest that you give them the $5 coupon first so that if they tell you no on the $2 coupon the cashier doesn't have to rering your transaction.
