VBS This Week

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is hosting VBS this week.  I am late posting this but there are still three more days of fun that you won't want to miss!

Cost: Free but donations for snacks/crafts are accepted

Theme: The River of Life

Ages: 2yrs thru 8th grade

Parents are urged to have their children there by 8:30 on Monday for registration.

School's Out for the Summer: Music to the Ears

There are lots of great chances to listen to music in the great outdoors this summer.  It is a great way to get kids out of the house and moving!

Jazz in June - Every Tuesday night in June you can head down to the green space between Kimball Recital Hall and The Sheldon Art Gallery.  There is always a featured Jazz artist along starting at 7 pm with food for sale at the Jazz in June Market located at 12th & R St starting at 5 pm.  You can go HERE to see this year's schedule. Concerts are FREE but you can donate to support Jazz in June also.  There was talk that the concert series would not be able to happen this year due to funding so if you enjoy Jazz in June each summer consider making a donation!


Community Fountain Gardens - Enjoy your lunch at the Community Fountain Gardens located at 14th & N St while listening to music every Wednesday from noon until 1 pm (weather permitting).  Concerts are FREE.

Music & Mozarella - Beginning June 17th you can enjoy music and pizza The Lincoln Children's Museum.  Every Thursday night from June 17 through July 22nd they will be hosting a fun children's musician and selling yummy Valentino's pizza.  You can get your pizza beginning a 5:00 pm and the music will begin at 6:00 pm.  You can go HERE to see this year's schedule.  The concerts are FREE to the public.

Stransky Park - Each Thursday night you can let the kids play while you enjoy great music at Stransky Park (located at 17th and Smith - near BryanLGH West Hospital).  Music will be playing from 7 to 9 pm.  The concerts are FREE along with snowcones, lemonade and popcorn but donations are accepted at the show. 

Friday Nights Live at Southpointe Pavillions - Every Friday night from 6:30 to 8:30 in the courtyard you can enjoy great music and more.  Smokin' music, hot ribs, cold drinks, and snacks by Famous Dave's, Colby Ridge-Incredible Bulk, and the Southwest High Theatre Boosters. Lawn chairs welcome; donations requested to benefit the Child Advocacy Center.  Concerts run through May 27th and you can go HERE to see the schedule.  Concerts are FREE.
